Thanksgiving, 2006

Dahlin Dears,

As Thanksgiving draws near, I think about giving thanks and living thanks. Thanks-living as well as thanks-giving.  Giving thanks with each breath.  And when we it seems we cannot find anything to be thankful for, then to give thanks for each breath we breathe.

Right now I want to thank each of you who have sent me special gifts over the years.  How much I wanted to write to you personally to describe what it meant to receive such personal and loving gifts!  Alas, time and stamina has not permitted this, and so I hope you will accept this blanket thanks and let it wrap you up with gratitude.  With each and every gift, I was astounded that women I had never met were thinking of me and sending me such supportive energy.  Thank you so much.

I also would like to thank you for all the pinks and blues you have sent my way, and the way of my loved ones.   Another person very close to my heart has just been diagnosed with advanced Lyme.  Please send her all your pinks and blues.  She is a dear one so close to my heart and I thank you in advance for praying for her.

I hope you all have a Thanksgiving filled with moment upon moment of gratitude.
