December, 2006 Full Moon

5 December 2006

Dahlin Dears,

It's cloudy tonight in the Puget Sound area. But luckily I was able to peek at La Luna in her December splendor. Tonight her luminous light seemed to come down and envelop me as though in a gossamer gown that protected me with its white light. This may sound a bit dramatic, but La Luna is dramatic, and as a writer, I have no qualms in singing her praises.

I hope this finds you all well as we enter this season of the celebration of life. It's a time for consciously cultivating joy in the moment. Joy is contagious, you know. So let's spread joy and not colds. I'm a big believer in staying home if I have a cold. I think it's impolite and uncaring to spread germs if we can possibly avoid it. But as you know, I have to be a bit more careful than your normal healthy gal is. Not that I was ever "normal," but I was healthy. And I see health returning, coming back, blessing me with recovery from Lyme disease, if not being cured. Good enough for me.

A deeper peace also beckons us this season of new birth. Breathing deeply into peace, and knowing that peace can be in the hearts of all people - and praying that this will be. Seeing our planet filled with people who recognize their radiance and the radiance of others. Seeing the planet in peace. Seeing war end, period. Seeing diplomacy, reconciliation result from accepting that peace is POSSIBLE.

May this December full moon envelop you in peace, kindness, and a serenity that may be difficult, but is possible in this season of commercial craziness.

Moment by moment by moment by moment, we receive La Luna's blessing, and spread it wherever we go. Daily, as I write, I try to remember this: we can carry joy, peace, serenity, and do our best to give it to others. Even if we don't succeed, even if something blocks the passage, the intention is there, and intention itself carries energy. I try to remember that when my efforts seem to fall on hard ground.

Y'all take care, sleep a lot, eat well, take naps with no guilt, and keep on dancing in the kitchen.

84,000 Blessings,

Rebecca
