Hello Dahlins!
Here we are--in the sweet arms of spring! There are daffodils and tulips starting to open, plum trees in full bloom, and our sheep are being sheared. I can't help but feel a sense of renewal as I see the beauty in blades of grass, singing birds, and the leaves on the trees.
As I walk down our lane here on the small island where I live, I'm amazed at all the bright green buds and delicate blossoms that made it through what seemed like such a long, dark winter. Maybe you're like me--you may be amazed that you made it through a long, dark winter!
We didn't just make it, though--we're blooming! And that's part of my joy this season. My novel Ya-Yas in Bloom comes out in trade paperback on April 11. Along with the flowers, Vivi, the Ya-Yas, and the whole gang in Thornton will bloom forth into the world in a new form. I hope you'll welcome them with open arms, even as you open your arms to this sweet new season. It's a time to invite friends and family who are not yet aware of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood to join us in celebration as they buy the book and help usher in a new blossom. You Ya-Yas can chat a book up as well as Oprah can! So have at it!
We're blessed to be growing and changing. Who was it who said: "Over every blade of grass, there is an angel who whispers: 'Grow! Grow!'"
May we know that our angels always attend us!
Take care, stay in touch, and remember to dance in the kitchen!
84,000 Blessings,
Rebecca Wells
